So it begins…

This has finally happened.

I got back from my holiday just under two weeks ago having spent all my money on eating out, entertainment and other things you normally spend money on while travelling. Do you want to know what is shocking? The shocking fact is that I had exactly £40 in my bank account to somehow last until payday at the end of the month.  Talk about living the high life!

What was I thinking? I should have properly budgeted for my holiday to make sure I had enough money in my bank account when I got back from my trip. I have no savings. All I do have is debt!

And then it hit me. I realised that I simply must take full control of my finances starting now and come up with a plan to pay off all my debt and start a new debt-free life! I am tired of making bad financial decisions over and over again, and it’s time to get out of debt once and for all and start saving for my future.

So this is where my journey begins. My journey to becoming a confident and financially stable woman! It begins on the pages of this blog which will hopefully help me stay motivated throughout my journey to debt freedom and financial independence.

  1. Hi! Sometimes it takes a big wake up call to make you realise that serious change must be made! I returned from travelling around South America totally broke and in a lot of debt – over $14,000 – which I am now trying to pay off by the end of Oct. Its been a journey so far, sometimes really tough, sometimes feeling great about taking action. The first step – realising action has to be taken – is the hardest! Good luck with your journey – here’s to kicking debts ass!
