MY DEBT STORY
I got into debt at the very first opportunity. I was 18 years old when I took out a student loan. I did not stop there and took out a car loan, a personal loan, and a few credit cards too. I was making one disastrous financial decision after another until I finally realised enough was enough. In May 2013, I found myself owing £13,830 to my bank. This was when I made one of the most important and life-changing decisions: get out of debt and do it fast.
I started this blog to document my journey to debt freedom. It helped me stay motivated and destroy my debt once and for all. I had a few months where I would only spend around £100 and save the rest. Shortly after, I began making huge overpayments towards my debt (and by huge I mean overpayments of £1,000 a month and more).
