A Long Overdue Update – I am Debt Free!

Hi all! I hope you have been keeping well! It has been a while since my last post back in August last year. There have been some significant changes in my life which made me decide to stop blogging last year and I do feel I owe you an explanation. The thing is… I met someone, and we fell in love. I was spending all my free time with him (I still do, but we live together now so it’s a little different I guess) and had no time to do much else. As for my debt, I received a […]

Life Lately

It’s been a long week. On Wednesday I had to suffer through a wisdom tooth extraction and that, my friends, was not fun at all! I won’t bore you with the details, I will just say that 72 hrs after the extraction were a complete nightmare. Luckily, I am taking antibiotics and they are working! I haven’t been able to eat much at all. I can only manage to eat mashed potatoes, soups and yogurt. The rest is a no-no. I have lost 2 kg in the process and have still got plenty of food in my fridge and freezer. […]

Five Months to Debt Freedom.

Happy Sunday, blogging friends! It’s hard to believe it’s August already! Remember my dream goal of becoming debt free by 31st December 2014? Yeah, about that… I am a little freaked out as you can imagine because it seems that I have only got five months left to pay off my remaining debt! I have created a little chart with estimated monthly payments towards my […]

My Spending Report for Jan-Jun 2014

As you may know, I keep track of every penny that goes in and out of my hands. I have a spreadsheet where I write down every purchase I make on a daily basis. I then add my spending together and group it into such categories as groceries, entertainment, travel, etc to get a better understanding of where my money is going. I then publish my monthly spending report on the blog for the whole world to see 😛 Today, I have added together my numbers for June and I thought it would be fun to add all numbers for […]

June 2014 Debt Repayment Update

Has it really been nearly a month since I last posted on the blog? I cannot believe it has been that long! July has so far been an extremely busy month for me, both at work and in my personal life. Work has been non-stop. My weekends were quite busy too. I got to go to Brussels for work and Paris with some friends of mine. Both trips were awesome and I am a little sad I won’t be going anywhere any time soon. I still  have not posted my end of June debt repayment update but since it is […]

July Challenge

Hi there! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! 😛 I thought I’d post a quick update about what I’ve been up to these past few weeks. My Mum came to visit me just under two weeks ago. We spent some days sightseeing and shopping in London and left for our vacation in France afterwards. It was an inexpensive but a luxury holiday (apart from our flights and some spending money it didn’t cost us anything) as back in March I won an amazing price at one of the industry’s events: a four-night-stay in two stunning Relais & Chateux properties […]
