20 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

Since I am going to be spending a lot of time writing my own blog, reading other blogs that interest me and hopefully communicating with readers and bloggers on a regular basis, I think it is time I publish a random list of things about me so that you can get to know me a little better.

Let’s begin.

  1. I am 29 years old.
  2. English is not my first language (so please forgive me if I make an occasional mistake).
  3. I am from Tallinn, Estonia. I relocated to London, UK after finishing high school.
  4. I own an apartment in my hometown which I currently rent out.
  5. I do not have a single tattoo on my body, although I am fascinated by people who do.
  6. Sex and The City is my favourite show of all time. Scratch that, it’s Breaking Bad!
  7. I was engaged twice but never married. Yet.
  8. I have recently separated from yet another boyfriend. I am currently taking a break from dating.
  9. I don’t eat meat or fish. Not because it is expensive, but because I do not like the taste.
  10. I also utterly dislike raisins.
  11. I have two sisters, and one of them lives in London, too.
  12. I was a party girl when I was 25. I stopped drinking alcohol at 27. It does not appeal any longer.
  13. I work for a corporate travel company in the City of London, and it’s safe to say I enjoy my job.
  14. I also get to attend many fabulous parties and events. For free.
  15. I could never be an accountant. I am terrible with numbers.
  16. If I were debt free and had sufficient funds, I would buy a one-way ticket and go travelling for at least a year.
  17. I have been obsessed with New York for as long as I can remember. This is the place where I want to be. I should probably move there one day.
  18. I used to love shopping. These days I cannot stand it. Shopping for bags, clothes and shoes bores me immensely.
  19. Occasionally, I get extremely lazy and spend my entire weekend in bed watching DVDs.
  20. I don’t diet. If I want pizza, there is no stopping me.

Happy Saturday, friends! 🙂

  1. Great list! I have to do one of these someday! London is a great city – but I love NYC and have never regretted moving here. Happy Saturday!

    1. Thank you for your comment, Carly! It was fun making the list and I am glad you liked it. I love London, it’s a great city. I just think it would amazing to spend a couple of years living in yet another big city and enjoy everything it has got to give, and NYC has always been number one on my list 😉

  2. I love reading these types of list GCP! Me and you actually have a lot in common! It’s like you’re my Russian twin 😉
    – I am also 29 years old turning 30 soon though…
    – I do not have a single tattoo on my body, but they’ve never really interested me…
    – Sex and The City is my favourite show of all time!!!
    – I also have 2 sisters and I’m the oldest
    – I’m also obsessed with NYC. I think it’s because of SATC hehe
    – I also don’t diet. I love food 🙂

    1. It’s funny you should mention this! When I first started reading your blog I kept thinking to myself you and I have a lot in common! Your Russian twin… haha, I like that! Sex and The City… yep, I also think SATC is to blame! 🙂

  3. Nice to get to know you better! I totally should have told people I was from another country so that if I make grammar/spelling mistakes they would understand. 🙂 Damn, I guess I can’t use that one now! I think everyone think NY is this mystical place..and it kind of is. I recommend everyone visit once in their life. Of course do not use Sex and the City as a reference point. Carrie Bradshaw could never have lived that fabulous life on her paycheck in NY. 🙂

    1. Thank you Tonya! Oh really? Where are you originally from (if the secret is out yet, that is)? 😉 I totally agree about Carrie, her paycheck from writing a weekly column in a newspaper wouldn’t have been enough to fund her lavish lifestyle. It’s still a great show though 😉
